How to lose weight fast
So I am here to share my secrets on how to lose weight fast and naturally. I have been doing this for several years and I’ve managed to get rid of 10-15 pounds every week in under two weeks, which is a very significant achievement. Here are some tips that helped me achieve that miracle! If that sounds interesting to you, then I will let you know what else we will talk about in the next five minutes!
1) Start with small lifestyle changes.
Before you make any drastic lifestyle changes, take time to review what your current “lifestyle” already is. This way, you will be able to see any negative effects. So start making minor adjustments here and there as easily as possible. For example, if you are drinking 4 cups of coffee per day, try cutting down to 2 cups per day. After a few days, you might notice that your appetite has gone up. That means that you could go back to your old routine! Maybe you need to cut something down too.
2) Drink plenty of water.
This goes hand-in-hand with the first tip, but I really think that it’s one of the most important ones. Water helps hydrate your body and gives essential nutrients to your cells. Also, when you drink enough water, there are no excess calories around your body! So if you are like me and don’t like wasting drinks, start by adding 5-6 ounces (120ml-180mL) of purified filtered water to your daily intake. Since you have been drinking plain water, don’t worry if your bottle looks empty after drinking just 6 ounces. Your body will thank you later! Don’t forget to dilute it with juice or sparkling water. Just make sure you can completely understand the contents of the water bottle before consuming it. Then keep sipping it throughout the day. You won’t realize that you’re overconsuming until it becomes an issue!
3) Increase the number of veggies you eat.
This may seem counterintuitive, but increasing the number of vegetables you eat is proven to help reduce weight. Not only is a vegetables high in vitamins and minerals, but they also contain a lot of fiber. Fiber aids digestion and reduces hunger levels. Studies have shown that people who consume at least 30 grams of fiber each day can significantly lower their risk of obesity. So it’s definitely worth thinking about getting involved in the process! Make sure you have a good source of non-starchy vegetables in your diets such as potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sweet peppers, and spinach. They are loaded with vitamins A and C that can help you avoid depression and other diseases.
Don’t forget to add legumes, nuts, seeds, and healthy fats (such as olive oil, almonds, fish oils, and avocado oil) into your diet. These foods will boost your metabolism and increase your energy levels. Now, instead of having them as snacks when you’re feeling hungry or tired, you should include them in your meals. This helps promote satiety!
4) Cut down on sugar.
Studies show that sugar consumption contributes to higher rates of obesity and diabetes. However, the truth is that you can still enjoy some of these delicious treats without indulging in sugary beverages or desserts. Try switching to low glycemic sweeteners, such as stevia, monk fruit extract, stevia maltodextrin, and Xylitol. By having these sugars in moderation, you can maintain your blood sugar level even if you aren't hungry. The key is to find out which types and quantities you must get to keep the lows and highs balanced. My suggestion would be to aim at 20g per day. If you are struggling with weight loss for the first time, try reducing it to 14g or less per day. Overdoing it will eventually lead to binge cravings.
5) Have the right mindset.
I know that we tend to fall victim to our thoughts often. We are constantly influenced by the media and social media. One popular thought that is often spoken to young teens is that being thin is unattainable. Many say that being skinny is ideal and that they cannot afford it. All of this leads us to ignore the importance of taking care of ourselves. Yes, I know, I know, many celebrities have made headlines, but it's totally normal! There are many things that we choose to ignore. Some examples include exercise, proper sleep, healthy, nutritious food, and a positive attitude toward life. All these things and more make it easier to stay motivated, improve our health, and focus on achieving our goals. Focus on the big picture. Think bigger than yourself. Take care of yourself so that you can take care of others. Do whatever works for you!
6) Be consistent.
Being consistent is extremely critical if you want your fat loss goals to kick in. Although sometimes it might feel weird to be consistent with something you love, remember, consistency is critical for the attainment of your fitness goals! As soon as you make a change, stick to it. Be dedicated to keeping your diet on track and never stop working out consistently. Even though it feels impossible at times, it actually works! Remember that no matter how hard you work out, your efforts are going to give a real impact on your body. No matter what, workout regularly. Every time you step foot onto the gym, you should be aiming to sweat. Instead of working out when you're stressed or bored, plan around those periods. During these times, you will be able to calm down, get away from the negativity, and motivate yourself to complete your workouts daily. I guarantee there is nothing worse than resting after training!
7) Find motivation.
I'm always surprised how many people don't consider themselves overweight. This happens because of many factors such as genetics, lack of self-confidence, or lack of self-efficacy. Either way, I am grateful that I was able to overcome that obstacle! Whether it’s a family history or a personal struggle, finding motivation and inspiration from someone you trust will help you accomplish anything in life. Never expect to suddenly discover your inner confidence or become better than another human being! Believe that anything is possible! Get out of your comfort zone and push through obstacles. It might be difficult at first but I promise, you will be amazed at how far you can go. Let's continue learning how to lose weight together!
8) Keep a diary!
Keeping a written log of your progress will prove to be incredibly beneficial. It’s probably one of the easiest ways to record your journey to weight loss. Plus, it's free! From now on, you will get better at tracking your calories every day, and maybe even some additional benefits when you start measuring different aspects of your diet!
